Missions
The Doctoral School organizes the supervision of doctoral students, from the time they register for their thesis through to the time they defend it, and helps them prepare for a career in a field that matches their skills.
As part of the College of Doctoral Schools, it contributes to the development of the University's thesis policy.
- It coordinates the supervision and monitoring of students by their thesis supervisor and the host team. It ensures that students have the best possible working conditions for their research, and monitors the application of the thesis charter.
- It provides students with all the methodological and thematic training they need to develop their project, as well as conferences, seminars and study days enabling them to broaden their scientific culture and compare their work with that of other researchers.
- It sets up a system to support and monitor the professional integration of PhDs. It prepares young PhDs for competitive examinations in higher education and research, promotes doctoral theses to socio-economic circles and non-academic employers, and develops a network of partnerships to encourage the recruitment of PhDs.
- It develops scientific cooperation and exchanges with foreign institutions and laboratories, to encourage the mobility of doctoral students, the hosting of foreign researchers and students, and the preparation of co-tutored theses.
